Portrait of an Old General - Character Skin Lighting and Rendering Practice

Creation Process:

  1. Base Model Creation:

    • I started by creating the base model in 3Ds Max.

  2. High-Poly Sculpting:

    • I refined the model into high-poly detail using ZBrush and Mudbox.

    • Displacement maps were baked during this process to preserve the details.

  3. Texturing:

    • I used Substance Painter to create texture maps for the character.

  4. Final Refinement and Rendering:

    • In Maya, I proceeded with the final touches, including lighting and rendering using Arnold.

    • I also used Xgen for hair and additional details.
